Mahjong Zen: Privacy policy

Snow Developers ("we," "us," "our") operates the Mahjong Zen mobile game (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. If you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture (if provided by Google/Apple). You can also play as a guest without creating an account — in that case no account information is collected, and your progress stays on your device only.

Gameplay data. If you sign in, we store your game progress: completed levels, current world, in-game currency (gold), energy, and leaderboard scores. This is stored so your progress can sync across devices.

We do not collect: precise location, contacts, photos/camera access, microphone access, or advertising identifiers. The App currently shows no third-party advertising and uses no analytics or tracking SDKs.

How We Use Information

• To create and maintain your account and sync your game progress across devices.
• To operate leaderboards and in-game events.
• To respond to support requests sent to the contact email below.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers to operate the App:

• Supabase (database and authentication hosting) — stores your account and gameplay data.
• Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in with those providers, to verify your identity.

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security practices.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Profile → Delete Account inside the App. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, gameplay progress, and leaderboard entries — this cannot be undone.

If you'd rather request deletion by email, contact us at the address below and we will delete your account within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Mahjong Zen is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Account passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
